Visit to the KM3NeT-LNS laboratory

Laboratori Nazionali del Sud, in collaboration with the Department of Physics and Astronomy “Ettore Majorana” of the University of Catania, and with Sezione INFN Catania, organize a visit to the LNS Laboratory of Portopalo di Capo Passero, part of the IDMAR research infrastructure , which hosts the European KM3NeTESFRI and EMSO-ERIC projects. The visit is open to all Students enrolled in the first and second year of the MSc programme in Physics at DFA "Ettore Majorana", Catania. The visit will take place on July 8, 2022, according to the following schedule:

• 8:30 Meeting at DFA parking area
• 9:00 embark on bus and departure
• 10:30 Arrival at Laboratori INFN di Portopalo di Capo Passero, visit
• 13:30 Lunch
• 14:30 Discussion and questions
• 17:30 Departure from Capo Passero
• 19:00 arrival at DFA

The costs of bus and lunch will be kindly covered by LNS-INFN.

Note: if the number of requests will exceed the capacity (about 30 seats) of the bus or of the laboratory, a second visit will be organized on July 9th, 2022, with the same schedule.
