I am a PhD student in complex system at the Catania University since November 2017. I got a master (summa cum laude) in Telecomunication engineering in April 2016. My thesis was based on switch ON/OFF of femtocell in ultra-dense indoor environment. From August 2016 to September 2017, I've been a research fellow at the Electronic and telecomunication engineering department of Catania university. My research activities were mainly focuses on radio resource allocation for 4G/5G phamtocell systems, and MIMO systems. From May 2017 to December 2018, I attended an intership at Motorsquare Startup focused on natural language processing and text mining, recommendation system, and so on.
My actual research activity is based on bioinformatic topics. In particular, I'm trying to generate an iteration network amoung biological elements by applying different text mining techniques all over PubMed documents, and by using framework like Spark and Hadoop. In addition, I'm working on a graph matching algorithm which will be used in distributed envoronmnents in order to execute queries on graph composed of bilions of nodes and edges.
