
I was born in Ragusa (Italy) on July 8th, 1990. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Physics and my Master's Degree (both cum laude) from the University of Catania in 2013 and 2016, respectively. After obtaining the Master's Degree, I attained a Ph.D. in Physics cum laude in 2020. During the Master Degree thesis and the Ph.D. I worked on the Muography of Etna Volcano (MEV) project, working in the D. Lo Presti lab at the Department of Physics and Astronomy "E. Majorana" of The University of Catania. During my Ph.D., I also participated in the NUMEN (Nuclear Matrix Elements of Neutrinoless double beta decays) project at INFN-Laboratori Nazionali del Sud. I was awarded in 2018 with the Best Communications First Prize at the 104th SIF (Società Italiana di Fisica) National Congress - Section Geophysics and Environmental Physics. Researcher in the field of Experimental and Applied Physics, with excellent skills in the design, construction, and characterization of innovative experimental equipment, also thanks to the comparison with Monte Carlo simulations of the interaction of the prototype with charged particles. During my work experience, I have acquired a vast knowledge and mastery of the MATLAB programming and numeric computing platform. My work reflects my passion for physical sciences and information technology, as well as my good manual skills. Excellent planning and time management skills. Excellent predisposition to teamwork. I appreciate a stimulating, dynamic and formative work environment, which allows me to increase my skills.
