Responsabile scientifico: Francesco RUFFINO

Antonino Scandurra (Orcid 0000-0002-5281-5776 - Web of Science Researcher ID AAD-5602-2020) received his Laurea cum Laude in Chemistry in 1988 from the Catania University, Italy. He is authors of about 80 peer-reviewed research papers, 4 patents and more than 50 talks in international Conferences in the field of science and technology of nanomaterial of interest in microelectronics, organic and flexible electronics, sensors and biosensors. He has been a senior scientist at the Consorzio Catania Ricerche (Italy) since 1993 until 2015. He is an expert in the surface analytical techniques XPS and SIMS. He has been PhD candidate in the years 2017-2020 at the Material Science and Nanotechnology course (XXXIII cycle) at the Department of Physics and Astronomy “Ettore Majorana” of Catania University, tutor Prof. Maria Grazia Grimaldi, supervisors Prof. Salvo Mirabella and Prof. Francesco Ruffino. His more recent activity is related to the fabrication and characterization of nanomaterial for the realization of nano-electrochemical sensors for human health and environmental monitoring, in particular of pH, glucose and fructose in blood, heavy metals and pesticides in water.
