Responsabile scientifico: Antonio TERRASI
My core competences rely on a strong background and an active hands-on experience on nanotechnology, semiconductor thin films, and characterization of optoelectronic devices, photodetectors and biosensors. I obtained my PhD in Material Science in 2014, defending a thesis on the investigation of Ge nanostructures for efficient light harvesting. From 2015 I started a Marie-Curie position at KU Leuven (Belgium), joining the CATSENSE project on the application of size selected metal clusters for catalysis and sensing. In 2017 I worked as R&D technology researcher at Atlas Copco Airpower in Belgium.
From 2019 I am working as a post-doc fellow under the supervision of Prof. Antonio Terrasi at the IMM-CNR unit Catania. My main scientific interests are currently focused on the investigation of transparent conductive materials and metal nanostructures for photovoltaic applications, water splitting and sensing.
